European Youth Forum - General AssemblyEuropean Youth Forum - General Assembly in Cluj-Napoca

The events are not starting only from 2015, so there is an extra reason for us to be proud! Cluj-Napoca will be the host of the General Assembly of the European Youth Forum this year between the 19th and the 23rd of November. This event will bring together 99 organizations, national youth councils and national youth NGO’s.

During the 4 days of the event there will be the NGO’s Fair, The Awards Ceremony for the title of “2017 European Youth Capital “and a Plenary Session of Discussions on the subject of Participation and Democracy. The events will be hosted with the help of the SHARE Federation and of the other member organizations at Grand Hotel Napoca, on the Octavian Goga Street, no. 1.

In the first day of the event we invite you to the NGO’s Fair and to the Opening Ceremony from 18.00 o’clock. Countries such as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Portugal, Bulgaria and Italy will keep a close eye on ceremony in particular, because it is in Cluj-Napoca where it will be decided which one of the candidate-cities is to receive the distinguished award for the year of 2017. Moreover, the NGO’s focused on youth both from Cluj and from Romania in general will get the opportunity to interact with each and every organization present at the fair.

On Friday, starting at 11.00 AM, in the plenary session we will have as guests the Minister of Youth and Sports, Gabriela Szabo and the European Commissioner for Culture, Education, Youth and Sports, Tibor Navracsis. Both the NGO’s and singular non-affiliated persons from the audience are welcome to take part in the discussions that have as a main focus youth related issues (especially democracy and participation).

Hence we are talking about meetings at an European level, the official language of the event will be English. The event will welcome media representatives, NGO’s members and also anyone else who is interested in topics and discussions of the sort.
